| Pippin is a dynamic musical, about one man's search for purpose. I chose Pippin because of it's great music and the ability to tell the story using movement and dance. The interactive production used a twelve person ensemble, encompassing the entire environment being used, to tell the tale of King Charlemange's oldest son, Pippin, as he searches for purpose in a cynical world. |
This production cast actors with a "triple threat" (act, sing, and dance).
It's a very demanding show, physically, it's a marathon as musicals go.
Pippin expands on an ambitious first season at City Circle. I am very proud to be a part of the theatre's second season. The decision to produce a play as massive as Pippin, is a testament to the strong vision City Circle was created with.
